Bring recyclable items on April 12th (Friday) for Earth Day and exchange them for spring flowers.
An event will be held on Saturday, April 13th, at Gwanghwamun Square in Jongno-gu to exchange recycled items for spring flowers in celebration of Earth Day on April 22nd.
On the 13th, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., the city will hold the 'Spring Flower Pot Giveaway - Recycle Items!' campaign in conjunction with the '2024 Earth Day' celebration event at Gwanghwamun Square.
Bring at least one recyclable item such as a PET bottle, plastic container, can, bottle, paper carton, battery, or vinyl, regardless of type, and you can exchange it on a first-come, first-served basis for a total of five spring flowers including geraniums, verbena, and digitalis cultivated at Seoul Botanical Garden.
A "Personal Cup Usage Day" (Tumbler Day) event will also be held to provide beverages to citizens bringing their own tumblers. Visitors who bring a cup and visit the Tumbler Day booth will receive free drinks such as coffee or tea on a first-come, first-served basis, for up to 3,500 people.
