It's gotten a lot better now, but my wrist was always in bad shape because I started drawing when I was preparing for the college entrance exam.

The swelling in my wrist was too severe to be considered a simple carpal tunnel syndrome symptom, so I went to the hospital and was diagnosed with wrist tendonitis. I made a concerted effort to wear a wrist brace daily to prevent further strain on my wrist. I also went to physical therapy every weekend, and although it's gotten much better now,

I use my left hand for things that require a lot of force because it can happen again at any time.

Realistically, there are situations where you have to do something.

Because if the joints are completely fixed, it can become difficult to work.

Since that was difficult, it helped to stretch my wrists and fingers from time to time while using as little force as possible.

I'll share some stretching exercises that are good for wrist tendonitis symptoms^^

1️⃣ Thumb Lift Exercise:

Raise your thumb vertically Just touch it with your palm.

2️⃣Thumb-Little Finger Exercise:

Raise your thumb and little finger so they meet

It keeps putting pressure on you.

3️⃣Thumb Flexion Stretching Exercise

Hold your thumb with your other hand

Flex your thumb until it touches your palm.

4️⃣ Lateral stretching exercises

Extend your hand in a handshake position, then grasp the back of your hand with your other hand. Bend your wrist so that your thumb and wrist point downward.

(You should feel a pull and stretch on the back of your thumb.)

What are the symptoms of wrist tendonitis?

 

It is a disease that refers to a condition in which inflammation occurs in the tendon sheath, a thin membrane that wraps around the tendon. As friction increases with the movement of the tendon, various symptoms such as pain and dysfunction occur. Tenosynovitis can easily occur in environments where the wrists are used a lot, such as office workers who frequently use a mouse or keyboard, excessive smartphone use, and childcare.

 

Wrist Tenosynovitis Symptoms and Treatments

 

Early diagnosis and appropriate treatment of wrist tendonitis can lead to a relatively quick recovery. In the early stages, limiting wrist use (such as sprinting) and getting plenty of rest are recommended. Cold compresses and anti-inflammatory pain relievers are also helpful.

In addition, if non-surgical treatments such as physical therapy, extracorporeal shock wave therapy, and injection therapy are used concurrently when necessary, they can be of great help in relieving pain from wrist tendonitis symptoms, as well as reducing inflammation and tissue recovery.

 

How to diagnose wrist tendonitis symptoms

 

✅Pain gets worse when moving the thumb.

✅Pain makes it difficult to use chopsticks, write, etc.

✅Swelling of the affected area may occur along with pain.

✅Severe pain occurs when pressing on the wrist area.

✅As the condition progresses, the numbness in the wrist appears to be getting worse.

✅In severe cases, even light movement causes severe pain.

✅You may experience tingling sensations and even difficulty holding objects.
