(Concern) How to improve numbness in the arms and hands caused by nerve damage after removing a tumor on the back of the neck?
When I have symptoms of cervical disc or lumbar disc
I even wrote a tip that it could be an extramedullary spinal tumor rather than a disc, so that you can find out the exact diagnosis through MRI.
My husband had symptoms that we thought were cervical disc problems in January last year.
I suffered from the same symptoms as a herniated cervical disc for a year as the tumor grew and pressed on the nerves due to the spinal cord tumor.
It was only after I had an MRI that I found out it was a benign tumor and had surgery.
Since it was a tumor that had formed on a nerve, there was bound to be nerve damage when removing the tumor.
We left 2% of the tumor intact because it could cause further nerve damage. The tumor root was completely removed, so we were told everything would be fine.
The results of the first-year checkup showed that it had not grown any further, so the surgery went well.
They said it was a complete recovery. The surgery was performed at Seoul Samsung Hospital.
Because it is a cervical nerve surgery, if done incorrectly, it can lead to paralysis of the entire body.
I searched for all the famous professors in Seoul and had the surgery done by the professor who could perform the surgery the fastest.
The surgery lasted almost 9 hours.
The white thing you see in the picture below is a benign tumor that was present in my husband's cervical nerve.
(It was fortunate that it wasn't malicious)
Even at the hospital, the professor said that there could be numbness in the arm...
Now, a year later, while running, the vibration and shock are applied to my left arm, and it is very painful and tingling.
Even in daily life, there are times when my arms or hands feel numb.
Will this numbness in my arms and hands get better over time as my nerves get used to it?
Or are there any treatments that can help relieve this numbness caused by nerve damage?
It's not so much that it causes a huge amount of trouble in daily life, but
But maybe it's because the damaged nerves become more sensitive to changes in the weather or something like that.
I feel a little pain sometimes, so I feel bad and wonder if there is a way to improve it.
I'm looking around.
Even if it is not necessarily a cervical nerve, if there is a case where you suffered from damage to other nerves and then improved
I would appreciate it if you could let me know how to do that too.
The link below is a tip I left a while ago.
This article says that if you have disc symptoms, you should get an MRI before doing any exercise that is good for the disc.
Please take note~
