Actor Lee Ju-sil passed away on the 2nd at the age of 81.

Lee Ju-sil passed away around 10:20 a.m. on the 2nd at her second daughter's house in Uijeongbu, Seoul. She received cardiopulmonary resuscitation at Catholic University Uijeongbu St. Mary's Hospital but ultimately did not wake up. The cause of death was stomach cancer.

The deceased's funeral will be held at Sinchon Severance Hospital. The funeral procession is scheduled for the 5th.

The late individual was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer and fought the disease for 13 years, and was declared cured. However, it is reported that last year, during a check-up, the recurrence of the cancer was discovered, which adds to the sadness.

On the 2nd, the agency Isanggong Culture told Joy News 24, "The deceased had a passionate enthusiasm for his work and always performed with a smiling face. After finishing 'Beauty and Innocent Man,' he took a break due to travel and other reasons." They added, "We sincerely pray for the deceased's soul."

Lee Joo-sil debuted in 1964. She made her debut as a voice actor in 1965 through the TBC Voice Actor Group 2nd class and has also been active as a voice actress. She appeared in dramas such as "Jeonwon Diary," "The Uncanny Counter 1 and 2," "Currently Beautiful," and "Into Your Time," as well as in films like "Beautiful Youth Jeon Tae-il," "Myeongnyang," "Train to Busan," and "Sabbath."

Lee Joo-sil was actively working until recently. The 2024 completed drama 'Beauty and the Innocent Man' became her final work.
