Businessman and YouTuber Lee Hee-chul (40), who gained fame by appearing on KBS 2TV's variety show 'Men Who Do Housework 2,' suddenly passed away.

On the 7th, entertainer Punja, known as a close friend of the deceased, announced on his Instagram, "My beloved Seoul Salon Lee Hee-chul oppa has become a star in the sky today."

He said, "It's hard to believe even as I write this, but I am leaving a message for those who haven't heard the news yet," and asked, "Please pray that he can go to a good place."

According to OSEN's report on the 8th, Lee Hee-chul's cause of death was a heart attack. The deceased's younger sibling said, "My brother's health had not been good recently, but he was still healthy, and suddenly..." and was unable to continue.

Then, she said, "Always cherishing and prioritizing those around us as much as family, and appearing strong, but our brother is the most tender of all," and asked, "Please be with us so that our brother's final journey, who always loved to smile and talk among many people, won't be lonely even a little."

The news of Lee Hee-chul's death has also brought attention to his final post before passing away. Lee Hee-chul wrote on his Instagram on December 31 last year, "2024, the ninth year that felt almost too difficult to handle. Honestly, it was a very exhausting year for me both physically and mentally."

Next, I understand that we learn and grow as much as we suffer, so I believe I will humbly and firmly overcome it and willingly send it off gratefully. I also wrote, "In the new year of 2025, I hope and wish that we will be healthier, maintain a flexible life, and have a year filled with gratitude at every moment," adding a sense of longing.

Lee Hee-chul gained fame through appearances on satire and broadcasting shows. He appeared on programs like 'Salrimnam 2' to share his daily life and has communicated with the public through his YouTube channel 'Lee Hee-chul's B-Log.' He operates a pub in Apgujeong, Seoul, and has worked as a photographer and visual director.

The deceased's funeral home has been prepared at Soonchunhyang University Seoul Hospital Funeral Hall. The funeral service will be held at 5 a.m. on the 10th, and the burial site is at Suwon Yeonhwa Cemetery.
