Sweet Tipโ How to Relieve Bloating When You Have Indigestion
I usually have a bad habit of eating quickly, so I often feel indigestion. Overeating is the same... I know it's not good, but it's hard to change... I'm not the only one, right? Since I often feel indigestion, I have my own routine to relieve it. I do acupressure, and if that doesn't work, I use a bloodletting device to stimulate my hand.
1. Acupressure
Hegu acupoint finger pressure: It is the area on the back of the hand where the thumb and index finger split. Many people are familiar with this acupoint, right? When you press this acupoint during indigestion, it really hurts... If you apply pressure for more than 10 minutes, it can help relieve indigestion and may also cause burping.
Pressure point massage on the back: It is the midpoint when connecting the lowest part of the scapula to the spine in a straight line. Since the position of the scapula varies from person to person, there may be areas that cause pain when pressed around it. It is better to press gently rather than tapping on that area.
In addition to this
Taechunghyul acupressure point: the concave area where the base of the big toe and the index toe meet
Yesterday's blood hand acupressure: The area protruding like a fish's belly below the thumb.
As you can see in the picture, isn't it the spot where you unknowingly pressed and tapped when you had indigestion? Haha
When you have indigestion, people often recommend carbonated drinks like soda, right? However, they can actually impair digestion and may cause digestive disorders or acid reflux. I used to always drink soda too... but these days, I mix plum extract with water to drink. The pectin and gingerol components in plums help with digestion. So instead of soda, try drinking plum extract or ginger tea^^
2. Hand Picking
Have you ever experienced using acupuncture needles to prick your hand once or twice as a folk remedy when you feel bloated? It is a type of bloodletting therapy in traditional Korean medicine, which involves removing blood from the painful area.
When I was young and had indigestion, my parents would sterilize a needle over a fire and then prick my hand. If they pricked the wrong spot, it would hurt a lot, and sometimes there was almost no bleeding.
If there are people who have previously used needles to draw blood, I recommend using a bloodletting device instead. It can be hygienically managed with disposable bloodletting needles, and the pain is just a slight sting, which is tolerable.
Since the main goal is to unblock and promote circulation, it's okay not to tightly tie the finger.

However, individuals with hypertension, pregnant women, heart disease patients, diabetes patients, skin disease patients, and those with weak constitutions should exercise caution. It is only recommended for healthy individuals to use as a simple remedy when experiencing indigestion.
