According to research published in a journal by the Korean Society of Nutrition, women who consume noodles five or more times a week have a 2.3 times higher risk of developing hypertension than women who do not eat them at all.

 

◇When blood sugar rises easily, weight gain occurs. Bread is a typical refined carbohydrate. Frequently consuming refined carbohydrates can lead to 'carbohydrate addiction.' Refined carbohydrates have short bonds between sugar molecules, so when they enter the body, they are quickly converted into glucose. To address the rapidly elevated glucose levels, the body secretes excessive insulin, which can result in poor blood sugar regulation and increase the risk of diabetes. When insulin secretion causes glucose levels to drop too low, our bodies crave sweets again. Repeating this cycle leads to frequent carbohydrate cravings. Excessive intake of refined carbohydrates can easily lead to fat accumulation and increase the risk of hypertension and metabolic syndrome.

 

◇Consuming more calories than usual Snacks consumed with alcohol are a cause of weight gain. Alcohol, which is an unnecessary nutrient for the body, is used as an energy source before carbohydrates or proteins. As a result, even when drinking alcohol, a feeling of fullness does not last long, and the body continuously needs other nutrients.
