아이들이 햄 좋아해서 한번씩 주는데 가공육이 안 좋다하니 자제해야겠어요. 적색육과 피자, 햄버거, 케이크 등 아이들이 다 죄다 좋아하는 것들이네요.
Four foods that cancer experts unanimously advise against
Four foods that cancer experts unanimously advise against
Depending on how you choose your daily diet, the risk of developing cancer can either increase or decrease. Matthew Lambert, a nutritionist working as a health information officer at the World Cancer Research Fund, introduced foods that are delicious but have a high potential to cause cancer.
Processed meat
Processed meats such as sausages, bacon, and jerky are typical cancer-causing foods. In fact, in 2015, the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC), part of the World Health Organization (WHO), classified processed meat as a Group 2A carcinogen. Processed meats are characterized by being prepared in various ways, such as salting and smoking, to enhance flavor and preservation. The WHO explained that these processes could produce chemicals that cause cancer. Furthermore, the IARC reported that consuming more than 50 grams of processed meat daily increases the risk of cancer by 18%. Accordingly, the American Heart Association recommended consuming less than 100 grams of processed meat per week.
▷Alcohol
According to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), alcohol consumption can cause cancers of the larynx, esophagus, colon, rectum, and liver. Nutritionist Lambert advised that even small amounts of alcohol can increase cancer risk and recommended abstaining from alcohol as much as possible. If alcohol consumption is unavoidable, it is advisable for women to limit intake to one drink per day and men to two drinks per day, especially for seniors aged 65 and older, who should not consume more than one drink per day.
Red meat
In 2015, the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) classified not only processed meat but also red meat as Group 2A carcinogens. The IARC reported that red meats such as beef and pork are associated not only with colorectal cancer but also with pancreatic and prostate cancers. Nutritionist Lambert stated that the ham iron component in red meat promotes the formation of carcinogenic chemicals. Ham iron is a component that gives red meat its reddish color. The IARC recommends consuming red meat within 350 to 500 grams per week.
Foods high in sugar and fat content
Foods high in sugar and fat content can increase the risk of obesity and may lead to cancer. Overweight and obesity are well known to increase the risk of various diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, and cardiovascular diseases. Experts estimate that excess body fat caused by obesity induces hormonal changes that can trigger cancer. According to the National Health Insurance Service, the risk of developing colon cancer is 1.9 times higher in obese individuals compared to non-obese individuals. Nutritionist Lambert advised to refrain from consuming high-sugar and high-fat foods such as cakes, cookies, pizza, and hamburgers.

I'm glad that processed meat isn't that bad.
Red meat?
Pork, beef... I think they taste better than chicken...
It's fortunate that the intake is less than 350 to 500 grams each week.
