I have diabetes, and I'm worried that my child might develop it as they grow up. Is there any preventive medication?

A. There are daily guidelines instead of medication.

According to the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency, if one parent has diabetes, the risk of their child developing diabetes is 15%.

When both parents have diabetes, the risk of their child developing diabetes is 30%. However

Diabetes is a disease that is greatly influenced by acquired lifestyle habits.

Just because a parent has diabetes doesn't mean all their children will develop diabetes.

It can be fully prevented with proper lifestyle habits.

Eat plenty of vegetables and plan your meals considering the glycemic index (GI) of foods.

Dietary fiber acts as a blood vessel cleaner and is effective in stabilizing blood sugar levels.

Please help increase muscle mass through regular exercise.

There is no medication to prevent diabetes, but there are definitely lifestyle habits that can prevent diabetes.

One-line summary: Please help me eat vegetables and exercise regularly.
