Summer has arrived in the bathroom too! To eliminate odors, try spraying 'this' into the pipes.

Summer has arrived in the bathroom too! To eliminate odors, try spraying 'this' into the pipes.

Baking soda + vinegar in the pipe

Unpleasant odors mainly come from the bathroom drain pipes. When hair or foreign objects fall during a shower and go down the drain, microorganisms breed and cause bad smells. In this case, try using baking soda and vinegar. Mix baking soda and vinegar, pour it into the drain, and wait for 15 minutes for bubbles to form. Then, rinse with hot water to eliminate the odor. If the toilet smells strongly, sprinkle enough baking soda and after 30 minutes, wash it away with hot water. Additionally, baking soda can be used to clean tiles and sinks by applying it to a wet brush, effectively removing water stains.

Drain pipe buildup and odors with lemon

Sour lemons have the effect of removing water stains and bad odors. First, scrub the drain cover with a lemon to remove foreign substances and water stains. Then, pour a mixture of three spoons of lemon juice, vinegar, and cold water to eliminate odors. It is also good to place ice made by mixing lemon juice and water.

The shower head is cleaned with sodium percarbonate.

Surprisingly, the shower head can be the main cause of bathroom odors. The shower head is where water is expelled, making it vulnerable to mold and bacterial growth, especially if not properly maintained. Dirt can also accumulate in the holes that spray water. In fact, a study by the University of Manchester found that uncleaned shower heads can harbor Pseudomonas aeruginosa and mold. To clean the shower head, use sodium percarbonate. Detach the shower head from the hose and the head part, dissolve two or three spoonfuls of sodium percarbonate in hot water, and soak the parts for about an hour. Then, use a toothbrush to scrub areas prone to mineral buildup and rinse thoroughly with water to finish.

The toilet bowl stain looks like flat cola and beer.

Citric acid found in cola has the effect of removing stubborn stains. If the fizz of cola has gone flat, it can be used to remove toilet bowl stains or bathroom mold. Spray cola into the toilet bowl, wait about 30 minutes, then flush to easily remove stains. The same applies to leftover beer; pour it into the toilet, let it sit for a while, then flush to eliminate stubborn stains and bad odors.

Green tea and orange peel with excellent deodorizing effects

Catechin compounds in green tea leaves have excellent deodorizing effects. After drying leftover green tea leaves, placing them in places with bad odors such as bathrooms or refrigerators can eliminate the smell. Leftover tangerine peels also help with deodorization. Microwave the tangerine peels for about 30 seconds, wrap them in a cloth, and place them in the bathroom to remove odors. This also eliminates the microwave smell, making it a win-win situation. Additionally, boiling tangerine peels and water in a 3:1 ratio for about 2 minutes can remove fishy odors remaining in pots.
