(Story) Early detection of stomach cancer is best with an endoscopy.

My husband was diagnosed with stomach cancer a year ago and underwent surgery. We usually have health checkups every two years, and before that, both my husband and I had upper gastrointestinal barium swallow tests. They always said there was nothing abnormal. However, for some reason, my husband wanted to have an endoscopy... and the doctor discovered signs of stomach cancer. It was a tiny lesion, smaller than a sesame seed. It was caught very early, so he only had a partial gastrectomy and did not need chemotherapy. He is recovering well. Therefore, I now plan to have my stomach examined with an endoscopy as well. I share this in hopes it may be helpful. Let's all stay healthy... haha.
