Taking antiviral medication when hepatitis B antibodies are absent
Despite receiving hepatitis prevention shots and booster shots when I was young, I did not develop hepatitis antibodies. When I was young, I thought it was normal, and I drank alcohol and stayed out all night. However, as I got older and started health checkups, I found it inconvenient that I had no hepatitis antibodies. I have to undergo abdominal ultrasound every six months, and I have been taking antiviral medication for over ten years. My liver function tests remain normal, but I am told it is because I lack antibodies... Sometimes after taking the medication, I feel nauseous, which makes me wonder if it's okay to take these pills for a lifetime. How do others who, like me, do not have hepatitis antibodies manage their condition?
