[Ace 1st Batch] Inquiring about treatment for my child's malocclusion
The child is in elementary school.
It looked a bit unnatural to chew, but I didn't worry too much about it.
However, when I went for a dental check-up, they said I might need braces later and suggested we wait and see.
It's not urgent right now, but since the permanent tooth space is uncertain, it would be good to secure the space for the permanent tooth through orthodontics later.
They say it's called malocclusion.
That dental clinic does not perform malocclusion correction, so I recommend visiting a nearby specialized dental clinic for consultation.
Should I visit a nearby hospital for consultation and, if correction is needed, continue to go regularly?
Is it worth traveling far every time to visit a dentist known for good orthodontic treatment, or will you have no regrets?
Or would it be better to go to a large dental hospital for orthodontic treatment?
They say you don't have to make an urgent decision right now.
But I guess we should prepare gradually? If the medical opinion suggests that it's better to do it in advance.
It would probably be better to go early, right?
There is no one around for correction, and I have no family.
I'm overwhelmed and unsure how to start.
If you have undergone orthodontic treatment, or if you know family members or acquaintances who have had orthodontic treatment, please let me know as it would be helpful.
Please give me some advice. Thank you in advance for your response.
