저도 조금 더 나이 먹고 하면 언젠가는 임플란트할텐데 정말 관리가 중요한 듯요!
I got implants at a young age, so I don't usually talk about implants with others.
Today, after a difficult surgery and a tough recovery, I will share my dental care tips.
I think it could be helpful for both those who have had implants and those who haven't.
Second~The small brush used to clean between teeth is called an interdental brush. These days, many people have high dental IQ, so you may have heard of interdental brushes at least once. In the case of implants, since the tooth is extracted and the alveolar bone becomes flat before placement, there is no bone filling between the tooth and the implant crown, making the surface flat. Therefore, if you have a single implant, food particles are inevitably trapped on both sides of the implant tooth. If food debris is left untreated, it can cause inflammation of the gums, and this inflammation can lead to the resorption of the alveolar bone, creating a vicious cycle where more food debris gets trapped. Ultimately, this can result in the loss of the gum bone and failure of the implant. Since implants and crowns do not develop cavities, it is more important to clean around the crown area thoroughly (of course, you should also clean the chewing surface and crown area well), but using interdental brushes to effectively remove food debris and maintain gum cleanliness is very important.
I get a scaling and regular check-up once a year.
I have been maintaining this habit for 7 years. For those who have implants, please make sure to keep it well, and I hope you avoid misunderstandings about implants.
