어려운 얘기긴 하네요 남편이 항진증이였는데 생각보다 너무 심각했어요. 다행이 약을 먹고 회복되서 지금은 완치라 하는데 늘 조심하고 있어요 ㅜㅜ
Does hypothyroidism cause the levels to drop without medication?
Last July, during a comprehensive health checkup, I was found to have hyperthyroidism indicators. I went to a university hospital for a thyroid scan, which still showed normal hyperthyroidism levels, but they said it could decrease from hyper to normal, so we should keep monitoring. Sure enough, four months later, my TSH shot up from less than 0.01 to 7.77. My autoantibodies were also positive. I have been undergoing monthly tests to monitor the trend. On August 22, my TSH was 7.82. In February of this year, it finally dropped to 4.46, which is normal, and I was happy, but at the end of April, it rose again to 6.49. I have another test next week, and I am worried.
Based on the TSH level, it's not enough to require medication, but I experience hypothyroid symptoms such as weight gain, swelling, and irregular menstruation.
Can I recover to normal without taking medication?
