A review of preventing high blood pressure by improving diet and lifestyle habits.

My mother takes medication for high blood pressure every day, and one day I heard that my blood pressure was also high. I didn't want to have to take medication for high blood pressure for the rest of my life. I've consistently made lifestyle changes and adopted foods that help prevent high blood pressure. Thanks to these efforts, my blood pressure has now returned to normal.

 

First, to prevent high blood pressure, I ate foods rich in calcium, potassium, and fiber every day. Potassium plays an important role in blood pressure control because it helps excrete sodium. I ate plenty of easily available potassium-rich foods like bananas, sweet potatoes, tomatoes, and beans.

Foods rich in magnesium and omega-3 fatty acids also help prevent high blood pressure, so I ate plenty of fatty fish like salmon and mackerel. I also tried to lower my blood pressure by eating magnesium-rich brown rice and nuts every day, which dilate blood vessels.

 

And to prevent high blood pressure, I tried to reduce my sodium intake. I avoided ramen, sausages, salted seafood, and almost no soup. Furthermore, to prevent high blood pressure, I tried to eat regularly every day and avoid overeating or late-night snacking.

 

Second, to prevent high blood pressure, I walked briskly or jogged for short distances and rode a bicycle for longer distances. I did some cardio. Also I've heard that strength training can be even more effective when combined with other exercises, so I've tried them from time to time. However, I've avoided exercises that require a lot of force in a short period of time, as they can actually have negative effects.


Third, I consistently took omega-3 and potassium to prevent high blood pressure.
Omega-3 fatty acids It helps lower blood pressure by dilating blood vessels and improving blood circulation. The one I chose is I took Chong Kun Dang Health Promega Alti-G Omega 3 Dual 520mg because the reviews were good. I took Vitamin Village Wise Potassium It is the first potassium-only product in Korea and is designed to meet the average daily potassium deficiency of 1,050 mg for Korean adults, so I think it helps prevent high blood pressure.

    일단 나빠지지 않는게 가장 중요하죠. 혈압약을 먹으나 영양제를 먹으나 알약을 먹는건 매한가지지만 병의 유무가 중요한 것 같아요.
