Breakfast provides the energy reserve needed for the day. Skipping breakfast results in a deficiency of nutrients and energy required by the body to start the day. In particular, brain activity that primarily uses glucose as its energy source cannot function properly. Since the number of brain nerve cells necessary for brain activity reaches hundreds of billions, a large amount of energy is required, and glucose and proteins must be abundant in the body for nerve cells and neurotransmitters to function properly.

 

Breakfast helps prevent obesity by avoiding overeating and binge eating. Skipping breakfast after dinner the night before and going straight to lunch or dinner makes it easy to overeat. This is because appetite-stimulating hormones continue to accumulate from the morning. When eating in a state where appetite-stimulating hormones are highly secreted, the act of eating itself becomes even more enjoyable. Since blood pressure usually rises in the morning upon waking, eating tomatoes in the morning can help manage blood pressure levels. Additionally, they contain components that aid digestion, making them good to eat after meals. However, tomatoes can lower blood pressure and cool the body, so for elderly individuals with weak health or those with low blood pressure, it is better to cook and eat them rather than eating them raw.

 

▶Yogurt=Yogurt is rich in a substance called prostaglandin E2. This ingredient alleviates ulcers and protects the stomach lining from harmful substances absorbed into the body during smoking and drinking. Eating it at night can stimulate stomach activity throughout the night, disrupting restful sleep. Therefore, it is better to eat it in the morning.

 

▶Honey = Honey eaten in the morning provides energy and helps relieve fatigue. Honey is composed of over 80% monosaccharides, which are sugars, and is quickly absorbed into the body, converting into energy rapidly. It has the effect of promoting intestinal movement, thus alleviating constipation. If eating it plain is difficult, try mixing honey into tea or milk. However, it is important to consume an appropriate amount. Excessive honey intake can excessively raise blood sugar levels and may lead to obesity, dyslipidemia, and other health issues.

 

Carrots = Making carrot juice and drinking it in the morning is good for boosting energy. Carrots are rich in vitamins, fiber, and beta-carotene, which helps with eye health and vision protection. Beta-carotene is abundant in the skin, and its absorption rate increases when roasted, so it is recommended to roast and consume the whole carrot with the skin in oil.
