Even if you've already gained weight... the practical reasons why you must exercise

Even if you've already gained weight... the practical reasons why you must exerciseResearch has shown that even obese individuals, if they exercise consistently over a long period, can have their subcutaneous abdominal fat tissue transformed into a healthier form of fat storage.

Professor Jeffrey Horowitz's team at the University of Michigan in the United States collected and analyzed abdominal subcutaneous fat tissue from 16 obese individuals who exercised at least four times a week for at least two years, and from 16 individuals who had never exercised regularly but had similar conditions such as body fat percentage, weight, and gender to the exercise group.

Research findings indicate that the adipose tissue of individuals who exercise regularly exhibits distinct structural and biological characteristics that enhance fat storage capacity. Specifically, the adipose tissue of active individuals contains more blood vessels, mitochondria, and beneficial proteins compared to that of inactive individuals, has fewer collagen types that could hinder metabolism, and contains fewer cells that induce inflammation.

The research team explained that since the subcutaneous tissue in the abdomen is the best place for healthy fat storage, improving fat storage capacity is important. They stated that when fat storage capacity is enhanced, the need to store fat in harmful areas such as organs or surrounding tissues decreases.

Professor Horowitz, the lead author of the study, stated, "An improved ability to store fat does not mean an increase in fat." He explained, "This means that when weight increases, excess fat is stored 'healthily' under the skin rather than accumulating around organs or organs like visceral fat."

The research team also expects that these findings will be particularly relevant for overweight or obese individuals with harmful fat accumulation, and will contribute to the management of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease, which can lead to conditions such as cirrhosis or cancer.

The research team announced that in follow-up studies, they plan to investigate whether the fat tissues of active and inactive individuals function differently, and whether there are other differences in fat tissue or factors that could affect the person's health beyond exercise.

This research result was recently published in the scientific journal 'Nature Metabolism'.

......... .

Haha, a man riding a bicycle with his stomach exposed.

My stomach is very similar to my friend's stomach.

Even obese people can achieve a toned abdomen with consistent exercise.

Subcutaneous fat is said to become healthy.

Exercise to prevent gaining weight anymore in the past

I did it, but now I want to be a little healthier.

I exercise.

Don't give up and keep exercising consistently.
