Exercise is considered one of the good ways to prevent or alleviate depression. Various types of exercise can be helpful, but among them, walking is known to be easy to do and highly effective in preventing or reducing depression.
So, how much should one walk each day to see an antidepressant effect? It has been shown that you can prevent depression even if you do not walk 10,000 steps (about 8 km) daily. According to a research team from the University of Castilla-La Mancha in Spain, walking more than 5,000 steps a day can also reduce the risk of depression.
According to various studies, walking 4,000 steps a day reduces the risk of death from all causes. Additionally, walking 6,000 steps decreases the risk of premature death in people over 60 by half, but walking more than 8,000 steps does not appear to provide additional benefits.
This morning, unlike other days, started at dawn.
I often walked back and forth quickly within the hospital.
The 10,000 steps suddenly felt easier in the afternoon~
I'm so exhausted that I really want to walk more, but haha.
Today, I will only wear this.
Walking is good for depression, so I walk about 7,000 steps.
They say it is effective~
You don't have to push yourself to walk ten thousand steps on cold days.
