A review of chronic constipation treated with diet control, exercise, and regular bowel habits.

I suffered from chronic constipation in the past due to excessive work and eating habits. When I went to the bathroom, my stool was thin, small, and sometimes bloody. I think that's why I have chronic constipation. I developed a habit of going to the bathroom for 15-20 minutes every morning after eating a small meal. To treat chronic constipation, I started going at the same time every day. At first, I didn't feel any symptoms, but later, it became easier. I was told that the angle at which I was defecating could affect my bowel movements, so I used a footstool to elevate my knees above my navel.

 

Also for the treatment of chronic constipation I tried to keep my body moving. No matter what. I walked for at least 30 minutes a day, and if I didn't have time, I climbed the stairs at home. I searched YouTube for abdominal and core strengthening exercises and made sure to do them for at least 30 minutes before bed. During this time, I gently rubbed my abdomen in a clockwise direction to stimulate bowel movements, which helped soften hardened stool.

 

Lastly, because the stool was hard, I took dietary fiber and magnesium together. I took Now Foods Magnesium Citrate Veggie Capsules and my stool became softer than before. I think my chronic constipation has been cured.
