Tofu no longer spoils! How to keep it fresh with 'this'
Tofu storage method
Have you ever thrown away a block of tofu because it spoiled before you could finish it? It can spoil easily if not stored properly. Today, I will share with you a method to keep tofu fresher and longer by adding 'this' during storage!
Problems
It's ideal to buy a whole block of tofu and eat it all at once, but usually people eat about half and store the rest. Freezing allows for long-term storage, but the taste doesn't quite match when it was first purchased. So, it’s just kept in the refrigerator, but it spoils quickly and becomes uneatable.
Solution method
The first thing to do is to drain all the water from the tofu.
Boil water in a pot and bring it to a slightly warm temperature. Add the tofu and blanch it very lightly.
Now, prepare a sealed container. Put the tofu inside and fill it with cold water. Today's main ingredient, right! Please prepare some natural sea salt. And add just a little to the tofu as well.
If you store it together with a little salt like this, it can be kept for a long time. Salt prevents the tofu from becoming hard and inhibits the growth of microorganisms. Therefore, it allows for longer-lasting freshness.
Be sure to close the airtight container tightly before storing it in the refrigerator. After that, replace the water using the same method once a day or every two days to keep it fresh for a longer period.
When using tofu, rinse it once in clean water to remove saltiness and impurities. Stored tofu can be used in a variety of dishes. Try using fresh tofu in soups, stews, salads, and other dishes.
