People with high blood sugar should not eat rice cakes... Do you know why?

People with high blood sugar should not eat rice cakes... Why?

Story of Reporter Han Hee-jun

Scrubbing off dirt to keep the skin clean can actually harm skin health.

It refers to dirty substances like dust in the air mixing with dead skin cells, sweat, and sebum, and sticking to the skin. Since they can be sufficiently washed away with just a shower, there is no need to scrub separately.

Most of what comes out when you scrub is the stratum corneum of normal skin. When the stratum corneum, which acts as a protective barrier preventing moisture loss from the skin, is peeled off, the skin actually becomes drier and rougher.

Excessively scrubbing the skin can lead to dermatitis. The inflammatory response occurs to repair the damaged skin caused by peeling off the stratum corneum. As a result, our body overproduces keratin to restore the stratum corneum, making the skin rough and dirty. Scrubbing the skin when it appears dirty can create a vicious cycle, causing further skin damage.

There are also people who should be especially cautious about scrubbing. Elderly individuals and diabetes patients.

Elderly people already tend to have reduced body fluids and dry skin, and if they are scrubbed, their dryness worsens.

Diabetic patients often experience dry skin due to poor blood circulation caused by high blood sugar levels. The sugar components in the blood can cause inflammation, damaging nerves, which leads to decreased skin function and increased sensitivity, resulting in itching even from mild stimuli. Scrubbing the skin can worsen this condition.

Even if you have no illnesses, just take a light shower to protect and moisturize your skin.

The face is the same way.

Whenever possible, do not scrub the skin and wash gently.

After washing, it is good to wipe off all the moisture and immediately apply moisturizer to prevent the skin's internal moisture from escaping.

==========

I think it's been a while since I last tried to push it.

Since I have a habit of showering every day,

They say you don't have to push the timing intentionally.

Tight on the face. Grandma, mom, you all do it a lot.

It's really bad for the skin..

Make sure to bring your moisturizer when the cold wind blows.
