People who wear thick-soled shoes when running are found to be more vulnerable to injuries. Additionally, such shoes can cause missteps, which may lead to injuries.

Researchers at the University of Florida in the United States analyzed data on over 700 runners from sports centers and hospitals, including shoe types, injury history, specialized treadmills, and motion capture videos related to running gait.

 

As a result, shoes with thick soles disrupted the runner's gait, and

They were closely related to injuries. People wearing these shoes had difficulty accurately sensing how their feet landed with each step.

 

Dr. Heather Vincent, the lead author of this study, said, "Shoes with thick heels make it difficult for runners to identify when their heels and toes are touching the ground," adding, "Runners who accurately felt the impact on the middle or front of their feet tended to wear shoes with thinner heels."


The researchers recommended wearing flat shoes to reduce the risk of injury. Flat shoes enhance ground sensation and help runners develop more controlled landing techniques.

Suddenly switching to a new type of shoe or changing your landing pattern can increase the risk of injury. Dr. Vincent also said, "You need to learn how to switch from high-heeled shoes to shoes with moderate cushioning and strengthen your feet yourself, and it may take up to six months to become natural."

    보통 운동화 신고 달리거나 걷고 있는데
    굽이 높은건 당연히 부상위험이 있을꺼 같네요
    넘 얆은건 뛸때 충격땜에 안 좋을거 같은데
