Introducing ways to practice daily to maintain healthy skin in everyday life.

1) Sun protection

ย 

Make it a habit to apply sunscreen daily to protect your skin from ultraviolet rays. There are two types of sunscreens.

  • ย 
  • Mineral sunscreens that scatter ultraviolet rays reaching the skin primarily contain zinc oxide or titanium dioxide. They do not absorb into the skin, making them suitable for sensitive skin, but when applied, they can appear white and look unnatural.
  • ย 
  • Sunscreens containing synthetic organic compounds that absorb ultraviolet rays reaching the skin through chemical reactions are naturally applied, but they can be irritating to sensitive skin.

When choosing a sunscreen, you should select a product that can block both ultraviolet B and ultraviolet A rays, as this effectively prevents UV rays; therefore, look for the sun protection factor (SPF) on the container.

(SPF)*Wow, UV-A protection level (PA)**Choose the product marked here. The higher the SPF number or PA rating, the better the UV protection effect, but since sensitive skin may react adversely, it is advisable to select an appropriate product based on factors such as expected exposure time, UV intensity, and type of activity.

*Sun Protection Factor (SPF): An index indicating the blocking effect against ultraviolet B rays.

**UV A Protection Grade (PA, Protection Grade for UVA): A grade indicating the effectiveness of blocking UV A rays.

ย 

Apply a sufficient amount of sunscreen evenly on exposed skin 15 minutes before going outside. Reapply frequently when sweating or exposed to sunlight for extended periods. When swimming, use 'water-resistant' or 'long-lasting water-resistant' products, and reapply every 2 hours to maintain UV protection. After returning home, thoroughly wash off any remaining sunscreen from the skin.

2) Proper facial cleansingย

It is recommended to wash your face twice a day with lukewarm water, gently. First, wash your hands thoroughly to remove dirt and bacteria. Then, dampen your face with lukewarm water, dispense a small amount of facial cleanser into your palm, and create a rich lather. Gently massage from the forehead and nose, where oil tends to be abundant. Rinse well with lukewarm water, and gently pat your face dry with a towel to remove excess water. If you are using soap, it is advisable to use a mildly acidic soap instead of an alkaline one.

3) Use of moisturizer

ย 

Make it a habit to apply moisturizer immediately after washing your face or body. Moisturizer forms a protective barrier on the skin surface, helping to maintain proper moisture levels and a soft texture. Choose a moisturizer that does not cause irritation or allergic reactions for your skin, and apply it consistently every day.

4) Hydration, intake of fresh vegetables and fruits

ย 

Proper hydration and a balanced diet are important not only for physical health but also for maintaining healthy skin. Drink water steadily throughout the day to prevent thirst, and consume appropriate amounts of nutrients necessary for our body, such as carbohydrates, proteins, fats, calcium, and vitamins. In particular, to invigorate the skin and maintain a healthy condition, it is recommended to eat fresh vegetables and fruits rich in vitamins and minerals daily.

5) Sufficient sleep

ย 

During sleep, each of our body's organs can rest, and skin cell regeneration also occurs. Busy modern people often lack sufficient time for proper rest, but by adjusting sleep habits and environment, better sleep can be achieved. To improve sleep quality, maintaining a regular sleep schedule is important. Going to bed and waking up at the same time every day is ideal. The bedroom should be quiet, dark, and comfortable, with an appropriate temperature to facilitate falling asleep. For deep sleep, it is recommended to stop using electronic devices at least one hour before bedtime.

In summer, it is necessary to pay more careful attention than usual to protect our skin from high temperatures, humidity, and intense sunlight. By practicing proper skincare methods in daily life, we hope to maintain healthy and radiant skin.
