이런 통증은 원인이 무엇인지를 찾아내는 것 부터가 힘든 것 같아요 좋은 병원 만나서 잘 치료되고 계신다니 정말 다행입니다
Treatment for cervical disc herniation at Seoul Ace Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine Clinic
The first cervical disc herniation started with shoulder stiffness and headaches.
In a state of unknown cause, influenced by nearby suggestions, I casually thought about it and received neck traction therapy and physical therapy at a local orthopedic clinic.
I started treatment while taking painkillers, but only felt okay on the day I went to the hospital, and the pain did not improve at all.
After a year of treatment, the serious neck disc problem began.
The main cause was that the area between numbers 3 and 4 was protruding.
Poor posture due to turtle neck caused muscle stiffness in the neck and back, leading to headaches.
1. Injection therapy that relieves inflammation and pain.
I received three injections between numbers 3 and 4, where the inflammation was severe.
The hardened areas around the neck and shoulder blades will receive manual therapy twice a week for four weeks.
After a certain amount of muscle relaxation, I received manual therapy once a week for six weeks.
The cervical disc herniation has been progressing for a long time.
Thick calluses have formed on the shoulders and back.
Slouching posture, too.
The back side thickened, making the chest circumference appear larger as if the person had gained weight.
From the area stiffened by manual therapy to returning to the basic posture
There is a lot of pain throughout the treatment, but once it eases up, you can actually feel your body becoming more relaxed.
3. Implementation of rehabilitation exercises
At the same time as manual therapy, you will learn the basic core posture that strengthens the back muscles and receive professional physical therapy for six months.
This mainly involves strengthening the muscles on the back and core to prevent hunchback and spinal curvature.
4. Shockwave therapy
A method of treatment that focuses intensively on areas with severe neck and shoulder pain
Treatment was so difficult that I cried during the first two sessions.
Over time, the pain gradually diminishes, and it is an effective method for relieving disc area pain and restoring function.
Of course, the treatment is often concluded with simple electrotherapy.
In order to prevent recurrence
You need to do consistent core exercises and take time to stretch regularly.
I am still doing core strength training at least three times a week.
Although the types differ, between waking up and going to bed
I am consistently doing exercises with a stability ball and foam roller every day.
Currently, I am not taking any painkillers that I have been using for the past three years.
Of course, there are days when I experience pain, but I pay more attention and do stretching carefully.
I'm only receiving simple electrical physical therapy.
The disc may never fully heal, but
Consistently receiving hospital treatment based on the cause
If you undergo rehabilitation therapy on your own, you can change your quality of life.
