선생님이 잘 들으셨군요 다행입니다//!!
I was so sick after testing positive for COVID-19 that I couldn't even go to the hospital, so I quarantined for seven days.
The muscle pain was really intense for two days, and after two days, I had a fever and only a slight sore throat.
But on the sixth day, I suddenly started having a fever and then had a severe cough.
I went to the hospital right after completing the 7-day quarantine.
I went to the ENT (ear, nose, and throat) clinic at the hospital I occasionally visit.
The ENT doctor listened to my lung sounds and told me to go to the nearby internal medicine department for an X-ray.
But on the X-ray, there didn't seem to be anything other than symptoms similar to those of post-COVID patients.
However, the ENT doctor said that even if it doesn't show up on the X-ray, based on their opinion, the hearing isn't good, so they suggested getting a chest CT.
But since the radiology department was far away and taking the medication prescribed by the ENT improved my cough a bit, I didn't get a CT scan.
When I visited the ENT department again two days later, the doctor asked why I didn't get a CT scanㅠㅠ
They even wrote a medical opinion stating that the sound quality is really poor and insisted that it be recorded.
So, the next day, Saturday, I visited the radiology department to get a CT scan and then went to the otolaryngology department.
After looking at the results, the ENT doctor immediately called the internal medicine doctor.
Make sure to follow the internist exactly as the internal medicine doctor advises when sending me to internal medicine.
It was Saturday at that time, and the clinic hours had already ended, but the internist looked at the CT results and ㅠ
It's pneumonia, but I no longer have a fever and my cough has significantly improved.
There are many small inflammations distributed throughout the lungs.
It could get better like this, but if it worsens and the inflammation clusters together, it could become a serious problem.
He prescribed medication for me to go home and rest, and even gave me his personal number to call if I develop a fever or feel unwell again.
The next morning on Sunday, the internal medicine doctor called and, after thinking and researching all night, advised us to go to Daegu Medical Center emergency room and request admission.
But the Daegu Medical Center emergency room didn't accept me,ㅠㅠ
Did you speak with the internal medicine doctor and the emergency room director? I did talk to them.
I just heard that COVID patients cannot be admitted to the ward, nor can they be admitted to the general patient ward, so I went home.
The next day, on Monday, I went to the internal medicine department, and the doctor told me to call the university hospital in Daegu first, explain my symptoms as pneumonia, and make an appointment for treatment.
I called three places, but two of them said the next available appointment is only after a month ㅠㅠ
Yeungnam University Hospital scheduled an appointment for me in two days.
Since the next day is Independence Movement Day and there are no hospital appointments, you made a reservation early the morning after tomorrow.
When I went to Yeongdae Hospital two days later, I couldn't enter the consultation room because it was a post-COVID-19 complication, and the professor who saw the CT told me to be hospitalized immediately.
But 30 minutes later, it was probably the professor in the COVID ward.
The professor and the ward nurse came, so I can't be admitted ㅠㅠ
For the same reason as Daegu Medical Centerㅠㅠ
Meanwhile, the COVID ward professor prescribed steroids, saying it was a medication he had used for similar patients and that it was effective, so let's try taking it and see how it goes.
He took that medication for about two weeks, and fortunately, the pneumonia has improved.
While I was receiving treatment at Yeongdae Hospital, the internal medicine doctor contacted me to ask if I was okay and inquired about my progress. When I told him I was being treated at Yeongdae Hospital, he said he was relieved and then hung up.
I still get emotional when I think about that time.
Dr. Shin Kyung-mok, Director of Jeil Internal Medicine.
They are a very kind person.
Thank you for gathering information by mobilizing multiple contacts and even providing your personal number.ㅠㅠ
It seems like the most famous person in our neighborhood.
What would have happened to me if the ENT doctor had only prescribed cough medicine and painkillers without properly listening to my lung sounds~
If my internal medicine doctor hadn't looked into everything from all directions, I don't know what would have happened to me~
This was the first time I had ever been this sick in my life, and it was during a time when there were many COVID-19 patients, and many people had a hard time being isolated at home from the ambulance, etc.
I was able to treat my pneumonia well because I met two very kind doctors.
It is such a truly grateful thing.
I hope I don't have to go to the hospital, but if I do, I recommend Chami ENT Clinic and Jeil Internal Medicine.
