Sharing my experience of treatment for cystitis symptoms.
Cystitis is a condition characterized by inflammation of the bladder, primarily caused by bacterial invasion into the bladder. It occurs more frequently in women than in men due to the shorter female urethra and the close proximity between the anus and urethra.
Bladder infection is a common condition that almost everyone experiences at least once in their lifetime.
The main symptoms of cystitis are frequent urination, a feeling of residual urine after urination, and dysuria.
A few years ago, I also experienced a bladder infection and was treated with antibiotics. At that time, due to my work schedule, I found it difficult to leave my seat, so I deliberately held back from going to the bathroom, which led to the bladder infection. My symptoms included a heavy and uncomfortable sensation in the lower abdomen, a persistent feeling of incomplete urination even after urinating, and a strong urge to urinate. When I went to the hospital, they prescribed antibiotics and advised me to take them continuously for a week without stopping in between. After taking the medication, my bladder infection symptoms quickly disappeared. However, because my work environment did not change, I again developed the habit of holding back from going to the bathroom, and I remember having two or three more bladder infections. Since quitting my job, I no longer delay going to the bathroom, and I have not had any bladder infections since.
Cystitis can be prevented through lifestyle modifications. First, you need to correct habits like delaying urination, as in my case. Additionally, urinating regularly helps keep the bladder clean. To do this, you should maintain proper hydration throughout the day.
It is the fundamental method for health. Adequate hydration is always emphasized and cannot be overstated.
And you should maintain a clean state regularly and develop the habit of wiping from front to back with tissue after urination. This habit helps prevent bacteria from easily penetrating.
Magnesium is a good supplement for cystitis, and I also make sure to take it regularly.
Magnesium helps relax the muscles of the bladder, which can prevent urine from being trapped and stagnating. It also makes the urine more alkaline, creating a less favorable environment for bacterial growth and helping to prevent the proliferation of harmful bacteria in the urinary tract. At the same time, it can reduce inflammation of the bladder and support proper immune system function, thereby aiding in the prevention of bladder infections.
Carbonated drinks, caffeine, smoking, alcohol, and spicy foods can worsen cystitis and should be avoided. Conversely, good foods include berries and yogurt rich in probiotics, so developing a habit of eating these well would be beneficial.
I hope everyone takes good care of their bladder health so that you do not encounter the unwelcome guest called cystitis.
