One or two out of ten women experience 'pyelonephritis'.

Do you know what pyelonephritis is??

In my life, I have tried twice. Actually, before I got this, I didn't know what it was, so I remember having a fever and severe pain in my back without any reason, making it difficult to live normally.

The most recent one I had was during pregnancy.

I contracted pyelonephritis late in pregnancy... The inflammation levels were high, and because of the fever caused by the pyelonephritis, I went to the emergency room two weeks earlier than my due date, was induced, and then gave birth. Later, I found out that many pregnant women also suffer from pyelonephritis.

 

Do you know what pyelonephritis is?

 

Pyelonephritis is an infection of the kidney and the area attached to the kidney where urine produced in the kidney collects.
An infection that occurs in the renal pelvis, which has a funnel-shaped structure.
In short, it is an inflammation that occurs in the upper kidney area of the urinary tract.
The order in which urine flows shows that urine is produced in the kidneys.
It passes through the renal pelvis, then the ureter, gathers in the bladder, and exits through the urethra.
Inflammation occurring in the final areas, the bladder and urethra, is called cystitis and urethritis.
Usually, an infection in the lower urinary tract ascends upward.
Since most cases involve pyelonephritis, it often occurs together with other conditions.

 

 

This disease is often referred to as a condition that mainly affects women.

Why is that?

 

It is known that among ten women, one or two will experience it once in their lifetime.
In cases of pyelonephritis or cystitis, they enter through the urethra from outside.
This is a case of inflammation in the bladder or kidneys.
In women, the length of the urethra is very short.
There is a high risk of bacteria entering through the urethra from outside, leading to inflammation.
If the flow of urine is not smooth during pregnancy or childbirth, the likelihood of inflammation increases.
Many people develop issues in the pelvic area during pregnancy and childbirth, leading to urinary incontinence or
There is a higher risk of developing inflammation along with other obstetric and gynecological issues.

 

Of course, men can also get it.

However, it is almost rare to find in men, and if they do experience it, it could be due to other prostate enlargement issues or urinary problems.

 

 

Treatment usually improves well with the use of antibiotics.

 

Symptoms of pyelonephritis typically include frequent urination compared to usual, and a feeling of incomplete relief even after urination.

It is difficult to hold urine. I have a fever, body aches, and pain in my side. There are various causes for these symptoms.

 

In my case, I have back pain, but it doesn't hurt in a specific spot... just... somewhere hurts haha

It's so frustrating, it's driving me crazy.

 

And, the fever and high fever continued.

 

Of course, since I am pregnant and find it difficult to take medication, there is a possibility that the fever has not gone down, but that is generally related to having a fever.

It felt different.

 

And, like body aches... this appeared along with a fever... I think I also felt a little of the body ache sensation.

 

I experienced pyelonephritis once, so I recognized the feeling immediately the second time.
