It seems that recurrent bladder infections are becoming chronic.

I didn't know what cystitis was and lived without any problems going to the bathroom, but as menopause approached, one day I got a severe bladder infection and took medication for nearly ten days. At that time, I didn't know which hospital to go to, so I visited an obstetrics and gynecology clinic. The doctor there even performed a gynecological endoscopy and said that my vaginal probiotics had all died, which was the cause. I continued to visit once a week for about a month and a half, receiving treatment only for that issue. During that month and a half, I was told to buy a cleansing agent and vaginal probiotics, which cost me tens of thousands of won. I was told I used a bad cleansing agent that killed all the probiotics. I just wanted to get better quickly. However, a week after the treatment, the infection recurred. I went back to the same hospital, and they looked puzzled but still prescribed medication and treated me again. I felt very uncomfortable with that gynecological treatment and thought I was caught up in the doctor's profit-driven motives, so the next year, when it recurred again, I went to a different gynecology clinic. They only did a urine test and prescribed medication. Since then, whenever it recurs, I just go to a general hospital and take medication. Recently, I saw a community post saying that bladder infections should be treated by a urologist. Are urologists' treatments different? Did I choose the wrong hospital, causing the infections to keep recurring? Urology clinics are not very common, and they are not easy to find, so I am curious.
