I'm worried about dark spots. Is treatment possible?

There have always been a lot of dried black beans since I was young.

As I get older, the amount of dead skin has decreased, but instead, age spots are appearing more. I hope for a clear, spotless face, but I guess that's not possible.

I'm currently applying ointment for my dark spots, is that enough for treatment?? The area is so large that I don't think laser treatment would be effective...
