Keloid skin lesion removal procedure.

I have keloid-prone skin.

I found out about this too late. While getting a massage, I saw the scar on my chest from a mole removal when I was young, and the massage shop sister said it looks like a keloid-prone skin, so I found out.

 

What does "keloid skin" mean here?

 

The difference between keloids and typical scars is that keloids have an unclear surface and border, are hard and thick, and even after a significant amount of time has passed since the injury, they do not shrink; instead, they grow beyond the damaged area and invade normal skin.

 

Initially, it appears pink or red, but over time it gradually turns brown and is said to cause itching and a burning sensation.

 

 

So, even if you have surgery on your face or body, noticeable scars or marks tend to remain.

Currently, the area where the cesarean section was performed is still prominently visible 😭

 

Last year, I noticed some blemishes and moles on my face at the dermatology clinic, so I underwent laser treatment to remove the moles overall.

 

At that time, I didn't know that keloid-prone skin requires caution when removing moles, so I received laser treatment without any special advice.

 

And after some time, about a month later, the red bump on one cheek from squeezing a pimple still hasn't healed and looks like a scar.

 

 

At first, I thought it was a pimple, but it didn't hurt and couldn't be squeezed.

So I wonder if it's because of the keloid-prone skin.

 

If it's a scar caused by hypertrophic or keloid skin, would it be okay to go to the dermatologist for another treatment to improve it?

 

Keloid-prone skin is said to be treated with injections like laser therapy. If I get those injections, will it get a little better?

 

It just looks like a pimple to others, but since it hasn't gone away for over a year, it keeps bothering meㅠㅠ
