(Concern) Melasma removal

I've developed some dark spots from looking at the sun for a long time during the summer.

I realize once again how important sunscreen is.

But recently, someone else received a treatment at the dermatology clinic and their dark spots became lighter.

I asked what kind of procedure it was, but I can't remember the name.

These days, there are so many different procedures that their names are hard to remember and people don't really know them well.

I think there was a treatment for removing dark spots and skin whitening. Can I just go and ask them to do it as is?
