Will removing skin tags on the back of the neck with laser prevent recurrence?
Neck acrochordons are skin conditions that appear as white, mole-like growths, typically occurring on the neck or armpit areas.
The sizes range from as small as a millet grain to as large as a soybean. It is a benign tumor called dermatofibroma.
It mainly occurs on the folded parts of the skin and does not usually cause itching or pain, but many people want it removed for aesthetic reasons.
What is the cause of a skin tag on the neck?
Although not clearly established, abnormal symptoms tend to appear mainly in areas with frequent friction among those suffering from obesity, endocrine disorders, or aging. Natural healing is impossible, and since there is no separate infectiousness, it is unlikely to spread to peripheral areas.
However, there is a possibility that the surrounding skin may change due to a skin tag.
When a skin tag develops, it can become bothersome, leading to constant touching or scratching of the area, which can allow bacteria to enter and cause inflammation.
Do not try to remove it individually; instead, visit the hospital to identify the cause and perform initial removal if necessary.
In my case, when the skin tag first appeared at the back of my neck, I couldn't see it with my eyes, so I didn't even know it had formed. But one day, I felt pain at the back of my neck and touched it with my hand, and I was surprised to see blood on my hand. I went to the hospital and first learned that I had developed a skin tag.
Since it was an area where the necklace chain passed through, friction caused bleeding from the skin tag. The size was larger than expected, so it was excised and cut off, and the wound was disinfected three times a week for three rounds of disinfectant treatment.
I thought it was completely removed, but it recurred after three months, so I was told not to wear the necklace anymore. Since there were no problems, I didn't want to remove it, but the children said they didn't want to see it, so I removed it again using the same method, and it recurred again. So I'm thinking of just leaving it, but will laser removal from the skin prevent recurrence?
