(Concern) Skin tags and freckles

I've been considering skin laser treatment for a few years now. I visit the dermatologist occasionally because of occasional acne breakouts, and each time they suggest extracting the pimples and removing the skin tags completely. They say it's spreading all over, even though I can't see it with my eyes. But I'm afraid of the pain from the laser, so I haven't done it. Also, I have blemishes especially on my cheeks! I want to get rid of freckles and dark spots, is there any way? I'm curious whether laser treatment is a one-time procedure and how long the effects last.
