My mom had an old dark spot on her face, and recently it has been getting darker and wider, so she was worried. Coincidentally, for her birthday this time, I gave her a laser removal as a gift! These days, many people are giving laser removal as a birthday gift for their mothers, too. Haha
There are many types of lasers, but I chose the Repet Laser because it is said to be very effective.

The reason why the Repet Laser is effective for removing blackheads and age spots is that it selectively targets and removes only melanin pigment, resulting in less skin damage, so multiple treatments are not necessary, and recovery is quick.
And what gave me more confidence compared to other procedures was that it was a medical device approved by the Korean Food and Drug Administration and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA)!! So, I was more hopeful about the effectiveness of the Repat Laser compared to other lasers, and since it was done with certified equipment, I thought I didn't need to worry too much about the doctor.

Among them, the most representative are the black spots, melasma, and age spots.
When consulting at the dermatology clinic, they first check whether it's melasma or dark spots, and then mark the dark spots with a pen.
We decided to remove only the two most noticeable surpluses without being greedy.
What I didn't know here was that I thought freckles and dark spots were similar, but they are actually different.
According to the dermatologist, melasma is located deep within the skin, so multiple laser treatments are needed and it tends to recur. On the other hand, black spots are melanin pigments that appear locally on the skin surface, and the Repet Laser effectively targets and removes them in a single treatment.
According to my mother who received the procedure, it was a little stinging, but the pain was bearable.
The procedure time is not long (it finishes very quickly), and she was very satisfied, saying it wasn't very painful. She also said she was really looking forward to the effects of the Replate laser.
However, there are also disadvantages.
After the laser treatment, you need to keep the regeneration tape on for two weeks. You shouldn't remove it when washing your face or taking a shower 😅
Even if it seems like it will fall off, they say not to remove it and to add new tape on top.
As a result, the duoderm gets dirty over two weeks... I have to endure it.
The second disadvantage is the price... to be continued, lol
The photo was taken right after applying the tape, so it's clean, but after two weeks, a lot of signs of use appeared on the tape. I'll skip the messy tape photo lol.
Still, maybe because it's Duoderm, it didn't come off and stuck on very well.
Now, you just have to wait for two weeks to see the effects of the Repat Laser.
Finally, two weeks have passed~
I visited the dermatology clinic again to remove the tape.
It's so amazing that when you peel off the tape, the black residue also comes off together with the tape!!
The funny thing is, the doctor said I could film first, so I did, but my mom's face was too directly facing the camera, so I didn't upload the video. However, a black mark stuck to the tape that was removed, which is why I told her not to take off the Duoderm until now!
It's gone, isn't it!?
Looking at the before-and-after photos, the black spots have definitely disappeared and the boundaries have become softer.
When comparing the before-and-after differences, the effect of the lipotray laser is clearly visible.
The redness after removing the tape will disappear later.
And I was prescribed ointment to be applied twice a day, morning and evening, for two weeks.
My mom doesn't know much about this type of laser, but she was very happy because she could see the Repet Laser effect very clearly with her own eyes. She also said it's very convenient because she only needs to visit the dermatologist twice, so she doesn't have to go multiple times.
Seeing my beloved mother, I also felt a proud day.
