It was found that foam cleansers sold domestically have limitations in completely washing away sunscreen residue from the skin.

The Korea Consumer Agency announced on the 19th the results of a survey on the cleansing performance and consumer satisfaction of 10 commercially available foam cleansers. Cleansing performance was categorized as "excellent," "good," and "average," and consumer satisfaction was rated on a scale of 1 to 5.

The analysis revealed that all ten products received an "excellent" rating for their ability to remove cleansing oil. However, five products received a "good" rating for their ability to remove sunscreen, while the remaining five were rated "average."

Products that received good ratings include Manyo Factory Deep Pore Cleansing Soda Foam (brand name Manyo Factory), Senka Perfect Whip Facial Wash A (Fine Today Korea), AHC Prep Reset Cleansing Foam (Carver Korea), Innisfree Volcanic BHA Pore Cleansing Foam (Innisfree), and Happy Bath Micro Micellar Deep Cleansing Foam (Amore Pacific).

In a safety test that confirmed the presence of 11 sterilizing preservatives, including phenoxyethanol, which are restricted from use in cosmetics, and 6 heavy metals harmful to the human body, no unusual findings were found.

In a satisfaction survey where consumers directly evaluated items such as foam production, rinsing performance, immediate after-rinsing residue, post-use softness and moisture, and skin tightness, scores varied between products, ranging from a low of 3.1 to a high of 3.8. The product with the highest satisfaction rating was Manyo Factory Deep Pore Cleansing Soda Foam.

Based on consumer prices in May of this year, prices varied by about twofold between products. Nature Republic Snail Solution Foam Cleanser (Nature Republic) was the cheapest at 667 won per 10 mL, while Manyo Factory Deep Pore Cleansing Soda Foam was the most expensive at 1,333 won.

The Consumer Agency selected three products with good cost-effectiveness based on price and performance: Happy Bath Micro Micellar Deep Cleansing Foam, Senka Perfect Whip Fashion Wash A, and Innisfree Volcanic BHA Pore Cleansing Foam.

Three products, including the Witch Factory Deep Pore Cleansing Soda Foam, Nature Republic Snail Solution Foam Cleanser, and Jeju Volcanic Soil Anti-Dust Pore Cleansing Foam (LG Household & Health Care), were classified as products with high overall consumer satisfaction, including usability.

Details of this test evaluation will be provided in the 'Comparative Sympathy' section of Consumer24.

=========

They advertise it a lot as deep cleansing.

Is it not really cleaned well?

I'll have to check with Consumer 24 after the test evaluation.

    자외선 차단제 바르면 오일로 한번 닦아내고 폼클렌징으로 이중 세안해야 한다고 요즘 뉴스에 나오더라는.. 역시 화장은 하는 것 보다 지우는 것이 중요하다는~
