와 발진이 저렇게도 나는군요 꼭 모기 물린것 같아요
Interpreter and broadcaster Lee Yun-jin (41), who is known to be in the process of divorce with actor Lee Beom-soo, complained of skin rashes.
On the 1st, Lee Yoon-jin posted on her Instagram a message saying, "My immune system was weakened, and I suffered from skin rashes all over my body," along with a photo of the skin rash. The photo included images of Lee Yoon-jin's daily life and her struggling with the skin rash. Is it really possible for skin rashes to occur when the immune system is weakened?
Skin rash refers to the widespread appearance of red spots or small, firm bumps (without pus and less than 5mm in diameter) on the skin and mucous membranes of the mouth. The skin becomes red, swollen, and inflamed, although the exact cause is often unknown. The most common causes are viruses and weakened immune system.
Skin rashes are different from skin eczema. Eczema occurs in specific areas such as the fingers, neck, and groin due to dermatitis like atopic dermatitis or seborrheic dermatitis. Skin rashes are caused by inflammation resulting from edema in the dermis and lymphocyte infiltration around blood vessels in the dermis, rather than the epidermis. Typical skin rashes appear sporadically across the body and usually gradually improve after 1 to 2 weeks.
The most common form of skin rash is a viral rash. It occurs either through direct replication and proliferation of the virus within the skin or as a secondary symptom caused by a virus that proliferates in other organs. This results in various skin and mucous membrane symptoms such as spots, papules, pus, and blisters.
Pityriasis rosea, also known as the "cold of the skin," is a typical acute skin inflammatory disease. It commonly occurs during seasonal changes when immunity is weakened. Initially, pink oval patches appear on the central part of the body and then spread outward in a diagonal downward pattern resembling a Christmas tree. Usually, a thin, fine white scale surrounds the affected area.
Sometimes it spreads to the arms and legs, but it rarely appears on the neck or face. Three out of four patients experience itching. It mainly occurs frequently in people aged 15 to 40, with a higher number of female patients.
Most rashes disappear spontaneously within 6 to 8 weeks after appearance, and if symptoms are not significantly uncomfortable, no special treatment is necessary. However, if itching or excessive rash accompanies the condition, antihistamines and topical steroid creams can help alleviate the symptoms. If 6 to 8 weeks have passed and the rash has not disappeared, with spots persisting for several months, it is advisable to see a dermatologist for an accurate diagnosis.
