Injection treatment for surgical scars at Moran Dermatology Clinic

   

After the fracture surgery, the scar at the surgical site is swollen like this (ankle area).

 

 

This is what the scar looks like after excision surgery at a plastic surgery clinic.

 

 

But then the scar started to swell again.

 

First day of treatment on March 22nd

 

Before it gets any bigger, I'm getting my scars treated with injection therapy at a dermatology clinic.

 

 

Condition when first injected

 

 

A day after getting the shot, blood started to collect inside my skin.

 

 

Second treatment on April 5th

The scar was still prominent

 

  

Status before the third treatment on April 11th

You can see that the top and bottom scars have slightly sunk in.

 

4th treatment visit on May 3rd

The scar is red, but it's not getting any bigger.

 

 

It would be better to do laser treatment at the same time, but scar treatment is not covered by insurance, so I am only doing injection treatment due to the financial burden.

 

I get injections every two weeks and this is already my fourth treatment.

 

Fortunately, the scar isn't any bigger than before.
