Sharing management methods for acute rosacea, from symptoms to cure!

Hello. There was a time when I suffered greatly from rosacea.

Rosacea dermatitis is a disease that causes all kinds of skin inflammation, including small, pustular acne, redness, stinging, itching, and bumps.

Now, the rosacea dermatitis has been completely cured.
I think some people often mistake rosacea for redness or simple trouble, so I will share the symptoms, treatment methods, complete recovery, and management methods to prevent recurrence.

When it was severe, it came up like this, like a colorful emboss.

When I think back to my skin condition when I was young, I had acne-prone skin when I was a student, but my skin got better after I became an adult.
But maybe because of my eating habits or irregular sleeping hours, my skin started to become irritable again.

Actually, even before I developed rosacea, I kept having allergies (hives) of unknown cause.
The skin trouble spread to my scalp, and I started to feel itchy and burning, so I went to the hospital for an allergy test.

1. Identify the cause - Allergy test

First of all, there are no symptoms that immediately show up that can make you say, “It’s rosacea dermatitis!”

It often appears like acne, and is accompanied by redness and itchiness, so it is easy to confuse it with common hives or simple skin troubles.

So, if you experience these symptoms too frequently and also experience hives, it's a good idea to get an allergy test to determine the exact cause.

I got tested for delayed onset allergies. Simply put, it's a food-related allergy.

The darker the color, from yellow to red, the more likely it is that you should avoid or limit the food.
In my case, I had allergic reactions to peanuts, egg whites, and garlic.

It also said that bread, cake, cookies, and ice cream should be limited ㅠㅠ (I usually snack a lot)
Class 1 and 2 items are not a big problem, but they should not be consumed in excess.

So, whenever I see someone struggling with unexplained hives, I always reply with a comment urging them to get tested! It might be expensive, but I highly recommend it to anyone with severe symptoms.

In order to completely cure rosacea, it is best to identify the exact cause and then treat it.
It is a skin disease that takes a long time to completely cure, so it is difficult to get better just by taking steroids.
While I was trying to figure out the cause and get treatment, I didn't eat any of those foods!

2. Prescription
At first, like any other dermatologist, I was prescribed antibiotics, steroids, and minoxidil.
I took steroids and dermatological medication for my sensitive skin, and at first it seemed to get better, but when I stopped taking the medication, my skin became rough like sand... and I started getting rosacea dermatitis again.
In this case, it is better to go to another hospital because the medicine does not suit you.
Finally, I went to another hospital and was prescribed medication for rosacea.

2-1 Surantra
This is the most commonly used ointment for rosacea. It's probably also used for seborrheic dermatitis.
I purchased it with a prescription because it is a prescription drug. (You can pay for it yourself.)

Of course, this ointment won't completely cure rosacea, but it definitely has a soothing effect, so I recommend it.

3. Change your skincare products
When you have dermatitis, please change the product you are using!
Changing your skincare products won't cure rosacea, but these are cosmetics that come into direct contact with your face.
I mainly used dermatological cosmetics, and mainly used mild cosmetics that could be used on babies.
At first, I tried Zeroid, Physiogel, and La Roche-Posay because they were said to be gentle, but later I found out that these products were very oily for my dermatitis.
So now I only use the lighter formula Estra and moisturizing cream.
People with sensitive skin should absolutely avoid thick creams and use something light.

4. Diet Management
It took me 7 months to completely recover from rosacea.
For six months, I completely stopped eating restricted foods and sweet coffee. I don't drink alcohol in the first place.
I didn't have any allergies to wheat in the allergy test, but I didn't eat any wheat-based foods.
Thinking back now, I wonder how I managed to quit it haha. The dermatitis symptoms and stress were that severe.

5. Lifestyle
Never touch your face with your hands,
Don't squeeze out trouble with your hands.
No hot electric mats, no hot heater wind, no hot water baths + no half-body baths

In this way, I was cured of rosacea in just 7 months through ointment, medicine, diet, and lifestyle management.
I followed the diet for 6 months, and from 7 months onwards I started eating flour-based foods, fried foods, and coffee occasionally, and I am currently eating them in moderation.
Fortunately, I was not allergic to milk, wheat, or meat, so controlling my diet wasn't too difficult.
And since it was an acute dermatitis that came on suddenly, I thought it wouldn't last long, but it took a really long time to get better.

Originally, it was said that complete recovery from rosacea took a long time. Patience and management are important.

By the way, I didn't have any surgery or laser treatment at the time because I was worried it would make my skin more sensitive.

After recovering from rosacea, my skin is not that great now, it's just average haha

If you look closely, you can see traces of trouble, and if your condition is not good, inflammatory pimples will appear, but since I was cured of rosacea dermatitis, it has never recurred!!

And my facial tone is completely different from when I had rosacea. The redness has completely disappeared.

I hope that my experience of seeing a lot of improvement through consistent management will be of some help to those suffering from rosacea.
