Pico Laser Review: Effective in Removing Freckles, Age Spots, and Warts
Type of treatment
This is a detailed review of the pico laser treatment my mother received.
My mom has had two laser treatments so far: Fraxel and the most recent Pico & D laser. She says the Pico laser is even more effective than the Fraxel. The laser has cleared up all the blemishes on her face, including freckles, age spots, pigmentation, and freckles!
Hospital where the procedure was performed
I had the procedure done at a dermatologist's office, but it was really hard to make an appointment at the dermatologist's office.
I had to wait months after making a reservation before I could finally visit.
I saw a review that said that pico laser was the most effective in removing freckles in middle-aged women, and I decided to use this laser because it was also mentioned the most in hospital reviews.
The price wasn't expensive, so I decided without hesitation!
Procedure
After waiting at the hospital, I was given a consultation with the director, anesthesia cream, laser treatment, and an ice pack, and that was it.
The procedure took a very long time.
I was there for about 40 minutes with anesthetic cream applied.
It usually takes 10 to 20 minutes, but they said that the waiting time after applying the anesthetic cream varies depending on the laser.
Just before the procedure
My mother had a lot of blemishes around her cheeks and temples, so I only did the procedure on the middle part of her face (not her forehead).
Immediately after the procedure
This is a picture of both cheeks.
Since it was originally a laser treatment, it was really swollen and red on the day of the procedure.
I remember it being like this when my mom got Fraxel.
And after removing the dot on the ball, I was surprised to see that the mark where the dot was removed was sunken;
Because the spot was so deep...
N days later
You did it on purpose during the week and recovered by staying home on the weekends.
The swelling and redness were all gone, but a brown scab had formed on the scar and the flesh was starting to swell a little.
And here and there, the dotted areas were damaged.
So at that time, I was a bit worried that I would gain weight if I removed such a large mole at once.
When I called the hospital, they told me not to put on any tape so that it could heal naturally.
First of all, my mom was satisfied with the effect of the pico laser, saying, "If the skin doesn't grow back, I'll just shave it off with Fraxel. I like it."
A week later
After about a week, the large red scabs around my lips were still attached, but other than that, there didn't seem to be any other scabs that were bothersome.
My mom's skin isn't that white, so the scabs aren't that noticeable haha
Instead, the area where the protruding mole was removed has a slightly larger laser scar.
Now you say it's a little itchy, so don't scratch it and apply the regeneration cream well~
After the laser, they give you two regenerative ointments for free.
My mom says she applies it thinly several times. She doesn't apply it thickly because of her oily skin.
But I heard that freckles can't be removed with just one laser treatment and that you have to get it done multiple times.
My mom is also considering getting it done again later to see the full effects of the pico laser.
The pamphlet also states that the effects of the pico laser can be seen after 1-2 treatments.
It's only been a week, so it's not like it's been long enough to say that the pico laser is really effective! I guess we'll have to wait a few weeks to see how well it works.
But if you look at old photos, the brown spots have really disappeared a lot.
I think that later on, the area where the scab fell off will regenerate and return to its original skin color!
