I visited the OB/GYN for a routine cervical cancer screening. I was nervous and stressed because of the nature of the test, but the calm atmosphere as soon as I entered the hospital put me at ease. Before my appointment, the nurse and director explained the screening process and explained each test and its purpose, which helped ease my anxiety.
The cervical cancer screening was faster and more thorough than I expected, and I felt cared for because they constantly checked on me during the test to make sure I was okay. After the test, they explained in advance how to check the results and what additional tests or treatments would be needed if any abnormal findings were found. They didn't use any intimidating language, but guided me calmly and realistically, which gave me confidence.
What I found better about this hospital than others was that they were very understanding and considerate of the areas that women might find uncomfortable. They answered my questions without being intrusive, and I felt comfortable during the consultation. This kind of atmosphere is especially important for regular visits, like cervical cancer screenings, and I'm determined to continue receiving screenings at this hospital.
