A review of the measles vaccination at Shindang Rin Internal Medicine Clinic

There is a measles warning in Southeast Asia these days, so I got a measles vaccine in preparation for my trip to Southeast Asia.
In fact, most people probably received the measles vaccine when they were young.
They say that if you get it then, you don't have to get it again, but I had shingles before, so I got it with peace of mind in case my immune system was compromised.

 

There are measles vaccines for children and adults, so I asked about them before going to the hospital.
There are many hospitals that don't have adult options.
I think Lin Internal Medicine also has a pediatric department.
If you are planning to get a shot, please call in advance and ask.

 

There are two doses of measles vaccine, but I don't think I'll be able to get the second dose due to my travel schedule.
They told me that since I probably got the vaccine when I was young, it would be okay to just get the first dose.
Since the doctor spoke to me directly like this, I was able to get the treatment without any worries.
I liked that they were gentle and kind without overtreating.

The injection... was a little more painful than I thought haha

I felt a bit sore for a few hours after getting it.

 

The hospital is located on the main road near the Shindang Station intersection.

It's a regular neighborhood hospital, so it's just ordinary and okay.

It opens at 8:30, so there are quite a few people there in the morning, probably because office workers go there before going to work.

Even on weekends, we don't finish before lunchtime, but rather stay up until quite late, until 2 o'clock.

I went in the afternoon and there were no people so I could go comfortably. It's a quiet internal medicine clinic that's not noisy even on normal days, so I can go there with peace of mind.

 

 

 

 

It seems like measles is prevalent every year in Southeast Asia.

They say that measles vaccination provides permanent immunity, so if you are planning a trip, haven't been vaccinated yet, or have a weakened immune system, consider getting vaccinated.
