외상후 스트레스는 혼자 극복하기 힘들기도 해요 지인분과 전문적으로 상담도 좋은것 같아요
I would like to talk about the meaning of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), ways to overcome it, and treatment options.
There was a woman I knew from my previous workplace. We sat side by side, working together, learning from each other, and relying on one another, which made us become very close and friendly. As we grew closer, we started sharing various stories. One day, during a conversation, she suddenly looked embarrassed, her eyes turned red, and tears started to stream down her face. I was very surprised, but I didn't ask too deeply about her situation, thinking she might have some uncomfortable circumstances.
Later, as we grew closer and talked more, I learned that the friend was suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). One day, they were randomly assaulted in a busy area and were severely injured. However, during our conversation, while talking about the area I lived in, I found out that they had been assaulted there during a trip. Because of the memory of that day, they became flustered and tears welled up when the name of the area was mentioned during our conversation.
Later, after hearing the full story, I felt truly sorry. I was actually sorry that he was suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) due to such an incident. He sustained serious injuries and was on crutches for a while, and his joint condition worsened significantly, with many areas that were not healing well.
In addition, the psychological pain was so severe that she was also receiving psychological counseling and therapy. Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) is a mental illness that occurs after a serious traumatic experience. It involves recurring nightmares, fear, and anxiety in daily life caused by natural disasters or accidents that cause a significant shock, leading to difficulties in everyday functioning.
Post-traumatic stress disorder often leads to depression or anxiety. Therefore, medication and psychological therapy are combined. For people like this individual, sharing their experiences and supporting each other in a self-help group can be very helpful. It is said that by sharing similar experiences, individuals can feel their own pain being healed. In doing so, they provide strength to each other.
Since mental tranquility is important, it is good to start the day with meditation, and maintaining a peaceful routine by having regular meals and sleep helps prevent disruptions to one's daily life.
For those struggling with post-traumatic stress disorder, I hope you don't suffer alone but seek support from close friends and family, and also receive help from professionals.
