I am gradually overcoming the difficulties of panic disorder.
There is a friend called panic disorder that suddenly appeared one day for no apparent reason. At first, I didn't know the cause or the name of the illness. I just felt overwhelmed from moment to moment. After a while, I thought that those symptoms might be panic disorder. Now, I am taking medication and have gotten much better.
I thought I might have panic disorder, but it took a long time to go to the hospital. I didn't want to admit that I had panic disorder. I was also scared. Then, after going through a very difficult and tough time, I finally went to the hospital. I was diagnosed with panic disorder immediately. I visited a university hospital. When I arrived, they performed several tests. They also did a heart examination. Of course, I completed a questionnaire survey. The diagnosis was made right away. There was a brief counseling session, followed by a prescription for medication. The dosage of the medication varies depending on the severity of the panic disorder. Panic disorder is not entirely incurable. It takes time and effort, but it is possible. Seeing people around me who have overcome it and live normally makes me envious and also impressed.
You need to take the medication consistently to a certain extent. You shouldn't stop or change the dosage arbitrarily. After some time, there will come a moment when both you and your doctor realize that it's okay to reduce the medication. So, you must not do as you please.
It is also good to receive behavioral therapy along with medication. Counseling therapy is also helpful. The most important thing is to first acknowledge that I have panic disorder. Recognizing it quickly and going to the hospital for treatment is the fastest way to overcome and recover.
Panic disorder is also closely related to stress. Therefore, it is important to keep both the body and mind calm and well-maintained.
While receiving help from the hospital and doctors, I also need to make efforts I can. I should take my medication properly and try to do even small things to overcome my fears. I shouldn't be impatient and should try to stay calm, as this helps in overcoming them. I have improved a little compared to before. I am still taking medication, but I no longer experience the same intense fear as before. If you think you might have panic disorder, don't hesitate to visit the hospital and seek help. Remember, there is a path to overcoming it.
