아!공황 장애도 정신과세 가야 하는군요 사회가 복잡하니 이런병도 생기는군요
Although it is not my personal experience, I have seen many people around me struggle with panic disorder, so I decided to write this post. In fact, it was difficult for me as well, but watching from the side was also very nerve-wracking and made my heart race. It has already been eight years. My husband and his younger brother started a restaurant together, but it didn't do as well as expected, and after a year, they had to close it down. At that time, we suffered significant financial losses, and the relationship with his brother also worsened, which must have been very emotionally taxing. I don't know if his older brother convinced him to go ahead trusting only in his wealth, but we bore all the financial burdens, and my husband managed everything like a general manager. We lost several hundred million won, and as his relationship with his brother deteriorated, he became very depressed. Then suddenly, he said his heart hurt and he couldn't breathe. We went to the emergency room and had various tests done, and he also received 10 sessions of manual therapy at a Korean medicine clinic, but it didn't help much. The important thing is that these symptoms appeared even while driving, so he went to the emergency room again, but after that, he couldn't drive anymore. He's afraid that such symptoms might suddenly appear again. After visiting the emergency room several times, they recommended he see a psychiatrist, so he went for counseling and was diagnosed with panic disorder. He has been taking medication regularly, and his symptoms have improved, but they don't go away as quickly as a cold. It's been eight years now, and although he has reduced the dosage significantly, he is still taking medication. It's not always, but there are times when he feels like such symptoms might come back.
I couldn't drive for 2-3 years, so I worked as a driver. Looking back, I realize there were times like that, but they were days when I was always depressed and stayed in my room, which also caused concern for those around me. Still, I have been consistently attending the psychiatric clinic and taking my medication properly, so I am almost recovered, which is a relief! I think of it as a mental cold; if you take medicine and recover, it should be fine. But if you can't admit your illness, no matter how good the medicine is, it's useless. My husband's other younger brother was hospitalized and repeatedly tested for similar symptoms to his older brother. His symptoms are the same as his older brother's. I recommended him to see a psychiatrist, but he said the doctor was a quack and prescribed medicine that didn't suit him, so he didn't go again. He looked up information about the medication on the internet, questioning whether it was right or not. The hospital said it wasn't, but when he looked up his symptoms online, he was told it was atrial fibrillation. He went to different hospitals, was hospitalized, and underwent tests... He doesn't trust the doctors' words, yet he keeps doing tests. He suffered for a long time. Now, he seems to be doing much better, but sometimes he improves even without psychiatric medication. If you want to suffer less, the best answer is to go to the hospital quickly for any illness. Many people suffer from panic disorder, so it might seem easy to dismiss, but if you experience it yourself or someone close to you does, it is just as serious and bothersome as any other illness. Don't hesitate to visit a psychiatrist; if you go early, it can be easily corrected. Let's get familiar with hospitals.
