(Treatment method) Insomnia and depression: Get help with pre-sleep stretching.

During the rainy season with cloudy weather, a lack of sunlight can lead to hormonal imbalance, which may cause insomnia.
The human brain distinguishes between day and night based on the amount of light entering through the eyes, but on rainy days when the amount of light decreases, the brain mistakenly perceives it as night even during the day, leading to an increased secretion of melatonin compared to usual.
As a result, the body's rhythm can be disrupted, leading to symptoms of insomnia.
Insomnia tends to lead to a depressed mood. According to a study analyzing risk factors for depression, people who experience persistent insomnia have a 1.8 to 3.5 times higher risk of depression compared to those who do not.
To alleviate sleep deprivation caused by lack of sunlight during the rainy season, it is good to be actively engaged in activities in the afternoon or to do about 30 minutes of regular exercise 2 to 3 hours before sleeping.
Stretching before sleep helps recover muscle fatigue and relax muscles, leading to better sleep, so stretching before bed is essential.
