(Story) From hospitalization due to Mycoplasma and parainfluenza pneumonia causing enteritis symptoms to full recovery... Fasting is indeed the best method for enteritis!

Our daughter bought samgyetang around the beginning of July three weeks ago and also bought kongguksu.

I was about to enjoy a delicious dinner... but after eating a little, they said their stomach hurts.

Then I burped, and I thought I was feeling a bit better, but...

The next day, I received a call from school saying I had a severe stomach ache.

In the end, I asked my biological mother and went to the hospital.

He has no fever but complains of stomach pain, so we perform an enema and observe the symptoms; he says it seems like enteritis.

They say it would be good to get an IV infusion..

Since the child has rarely received IV fluids when very young, I told the mother to go home for now, as it might be difficult for her.

And that evening...

The child who I thought was getting better is rolling around again, complaining of a stomach ache.

Eventually, I drove to the hospital with my husband and first received IV fluids for the baby.

It's past 8 PM... Wow, even at that time, there were so many children.

It felt like all the really sick children, with illnesses like pneumonia and hand-foot-mouth disease, were gathering because of the outbreak.

They took an X-ray first and then saw the doctor, and there was also inflammation in the lungs.

My stomach was full of gas... to the point where it was really painful.

It seems like I have pneumonia and enteritis; come to think of it, it was at the apartment water park on Sunday.

I remembered the child's words about diving and playing, so I told the doctor...

These days, most kids are playing in the water and catching pneumonia, enteritis, or hand-foot-mouth disease.ㅠㅠ

I came to the hospital with the line connected because I was told I needed to receive IV fluids again the next day.

The next day, I took a day off and went early in the morning to have my child's IV inserted, but even though the line was connected, it only took a while to connect the IV.

I waited over 40 minutes... the IV room was also full, so I had to wait in line.

Looking at the waiting list, most of the children are receiving IV fluids for pneumonia, enteritis, or hand-foot-mouth disease.

While receiving IV fluids, I said my stomach didn't hurt and I was hungry, and I felt a bit better, so I brought her in...

The child who skipped two meals seemed to eat well with rice porridge for lunch, but after taking a nap in the evening, they said their stomach hurt again.

Since it was already too late, the pediatric department that was open until 11 PM had closed at 9 PM.

First, I gave them the prescribed medication and wiped their stomach, and as a result, they also disliked getting injections again.

I felt like my stomach was settling a bit, so I went to sleep and decided to wait for now.

The next day, the child who was still experiencing severe stomach pain had her husband take leave and go, and she was eventually hospitalized.

That evening, I packed my belongings and went as a guardian for the child...

Starting from Tuesday evening, I was in pain, so I was eventually hospitalized on Thursday, and I thought I might be discharged by Saturday, so I began hospitalization...

There are babies in the three-person room who seem to be around six months old.

Woke up crying even in the early morning... the hospital stay has started somewhat uncomfortably, and

First, I reserved a single or deluxe room, and the next day, since the deluxe room was available, I moved to the deluxe room for one night.

Let's just wait a few days while receiving IV fluids and eating porridge... and when I checked the next day...

The blood test results showed two types of pneumonia bacteria: Mycoplasma and Parainfluenza.

I do have a cough with phlegm, but it happens only intermittently and I have no fever at all.

Doctors say that these days, enteritis is occurring together due to pneumonia bacteria.

I heard that our second child only came to the hospital because of enteritis.

So, I received a prescription for respiratory therapy and medication for enteritis to begin treatment.

At first, I had a solid stool, so I wondered if it was gastroenteritis, but it turned out that the intestines weren't moving, and it was just old stool coming out.

He started having diarrhea from the day after he was admitted.

And... if I only eat 3-4 spoonfuls of porridge, I cry and roll around because my stomach hurts... ㅠㅠ

Ultimately, I decided to fast on Saturday morning for the appointment.

My child had a stomachache and didn't even say they wanted to eat, so they really went two full days without eating.

They say the best treatment for enteritis is really fasting...

After fasting for two days, the complaint that stomach pain has disappeared and now they are crying out that they are hungry.

I was allowed to eat porridge starting from Sunday evening.

On Monday, I tried eating a little banana as well.. My stomach seems to be getting better, so I didn't complain much about stomach pain.

The diarrhea started to turn into slightly loose stool gradually...

So, the discharge was decided for Tuesday, and even after discharge, I carefully watched over him for about two days, feeding him carefully.

The doctor said I can now eat normally, but I was still scared.

But the child is crying and fussing, saying they're hungry...

Come to think of it, the fasting is only two days, but since Tuesday evening, the child hasn't eaten anything for over a week.

The child who isn't hungry starts to eat as if possessed..

He has recovered very healthily.

Mycoplasma pneumonia is an acute respiratory infection caused by infection with Mycoplasma pneumoniae, and it is transmitted through direct contact with droplets such as saliva or nasal mucus, or by inhaling respiratory droplets.

During the initial few weeks, high fever lasting between 38 to 40 degrees Celsius persists, accompanied by runny nose, sore throat, phlegm, and frequent coughing, eventually progressing to pneumonia. Recently, there has been a rapid increase in children suffering from Mycoplasma pneumonia.

The only fortunate thing was...

Most of the children suffering from high fever and productive cough are experiencing difficulties.

Should I say I was lucky... Our daughter only had a severe case of enteritis.

10 to 30% of all pneumonia cases are caused by Mycoplasma pneumoniae.

Most of the patients are children under 12 years old.

This year, 80% of all pediatric inpatients were due to Mycoplasma...

It was a frightening pneumonia bacteria.

This time, the first thing I learned while caring for my second child during hospitalization is...

Fasting is the best remedy for enteritis!

And it's not worth struggling to go to a university hospital; staying in a large pediatric hospital with a private room or more is less stressful for both the mother and the child.

I comforted and put the child who became my mom's clingy to sleep, and I had to soothe the crying child.

At least turning on TV EBS helps divert attention and prevents boredom...

So I think I endured it. Still... the child had a nightmare at the hospital and was scared and struggling...

This is a review of the treatment for pneumonia and enteritis caused by atypical Mycoplasma pneumoniae.

The summer that still hasn't ended..

Nearby colleagues' children are suffering from hand-foot-mouth disease.

I'm suffering from pneumonia again..

Another junior who is not married has contracted COVID-19 and is staying masked...

The fear of infectious diseases still hasn't disappeared...

Everyone... I hope you all pass safely through this summer's heat and viruses.
