I thought I strained my lower back while exercising.
The pain has been worsening progressively, to the point where I can't straighten my back.
I am currently receiving injections and manual therapy at the orthopedic department for lower back pain.

I am here to discuss back pain treatment.
I am doing group Pilates.
I was doing the bridge exercise in Pilates and, wanting to do well, I applied too much force.
Since that day, my lower back started to hurt gradually, and after a week, I experienced pain so severe that I had difficulty straightening my back.
I thought it wouldn't work, so I went to the orthopedic department for back pain treatment.


First, after taking the X-ray, please review it.
They said the pain is so severe that they should undergo injection treatment.
It's a steroid injection, and I have been explained about it and agreed to receive it.
I received an injection near my tailbone, and I could feel the medication spreading.
I was told to lie down for 30 minutes because I might feel dizzy.
There may be pain for a day, but it gradually improved, and that was really the case.
He asked me to come back next time and inquired about the progress of the lower back pain treatment.

Since the pain still remains, they prescribed manual therapy.

When I went for manual therapy to treat back pain, they explained the cause in detail.
Overall, my posture is misaligned, but they said it's because I have a straight waist.
There is no one who is perfectly symmetrical, but when pain occurs, they say it's a sign that you've crossed the line.
So, they loosened my muscles to match my body shape and taught me how to exercise.
And please teach me the existing Pilates movements tailored to my needs.
So, they advised me to consistently practice from daily habits to exercise movements.
Body shape correction requires quite a long time investment, so I am still undergoing treatment for lower back pain.

I plan to find a good posture through back pain treatment, maintain regular exercise, and live accordingly.
Back pain often results from a complex combination of factors rather than a single, clear cause.

    요통 진짜 고통스럽죠.. 저도 허리가 자주 아플 때가 있다 보니 글 보면서 많은 공감을 했어요. 그리고 필라테스가 정말 신중하게 해야 하는 운동이라고 하더라구요. 필라테스 자체는 좋은 운동이지만 본인가 맞지 않는 운동이면 허리, 무릎 등 관절을 더 악화시킬 수 있다고 합니다. 운동도 본인과 맞는 운동을 찾아서 하는게 중요할 것 같습니다.
