(Have you had a bone density test? Are your bones healthy?)
Recently, I ran out of the medication I was prescribed for gastritis and visited a local clinic.
While consulting with the doctor, I mentioned that my leg feels uncomfortable once in a while, and he suggested doing a bone density test.
Since it was my first time having a bone density test, I was told it was a simple procedure, so I had the test using a DXA (Dual-Energy X-ray Absorptiometry) machine.
The test result T-score is -1.0, which is normal, but mine is -1.9.
It has come out.
It seems to be early osteoporosis due to decreased bone density ㅠ
I thought my bones were pretty healthy, but I was a bit surprised to see the results come out like this.
You should take calcium and vitamin D together, but since your stomach health isn't good, it's better to get calcium from food to avoid burdening your stomach. The doctor only prescribed vitamin D.
So, I am trying to eat a balanced diet by consuming foods rich in calcium such as milk, cheese, tofu, spinach, and plain yogurt.
I am consistently exercising every day through walking and climbing stairs, but I am worried that my bone health might continue to deteriorate.
Have you all ever had a bone density test?
Are you maintaining good bone health?
