A review of alleviating symptoms through exercise and supplements after experiencing early signs of a herniated disc in the lower back
About two or three months ago, I experienced back pain that I had never felt before, and it made daily life very difficult. Since it was a new symptom, I thought it might be temporary and didn't go to the hospital, but the symptoms didn't go away and continued. When I looked up related information, it closely resembled early symptoms of a herniated disc. So, I did some exercises that are good for herniated discs and took nutritional supplements for about a month, which alleviated the early symptoms of the herniated disc. To describe the early symptoms of a herniated disc in detail: one morning, I suddenly found it difficult to get up. To stand up, I had to bend my back while lying down, but bending my back caused such severe pain that it was hard to get up. Additionally, sitting down and standing up were very painful and difficult. Walking while standing was somewhat okay, but bending my back was too painful and hard, and when I looked up information online, it closely resembled early symptoms of a herniated disc. Before the early symptoms appeared, I experienced intermittent numbness in my hips, thighs, and feet over several months. After the early symptoms of a herniated disc appeared, I hesitated for a few days whether to go to the hospital, but I decided to endure the discomfort for now. Then, I looked up related information online, did light exercises and stretching within my limits, and started taking nutritional supplements that are good for herniated discs. First, I found that there’s nothing particularly special about the exercises; the best for a herniated disc are stretching and walking. So, I did about 30 minutes of stretching on my bed every morning upon waking. At first, I couldn’t bend my back at all, which was very difficult and painful, so I wanted to stop, but I endured and did very gentle stretches, gradually straightening my legs and bending my back. I also did neck rotations and shoulder rolls as part of stretching. As I continued stretching, day by day, my back gradually became more flexible, and the pain from the herniated disc slowly decreased. I also maintained about an hour of light walking with an upright posture every day.
And because I was anxious just with exercise and stretching, I also purchased and took a supplement that is good for herniated discs. After searching online, I found many reviews saying that a supplement called NeoWells Joint Power is good for herniated discs, and it was the most purchased, so I also started taking it. NeoWells Joint Power supplement mainly contains MSM and NAG, which are good for joints and cartilage, and it is said to help alleviate herniated discs.
By stretching, walking, and taking supplements every day like this, the early symptoms of my herniated disc gradually eased starting from the 2nd to 3rd week, and I was able to bend my back more easily. Now, after three months, I am almost back to normal. From now on, I plan to continue managing my condition well to prevent the early symptoms of the herniated disc from recurring.
